Charlie has 16 years experience working in the camera department, 8 of them as camera operator and 4 as a DP. He has completed two TV Dramas and a feature as DP, as well as numerous shorts and music videos, and currently works either as a Steadicam operator or DP depending on the project.

The highlight of his Steadicam career so far has been the Small Axe series of films directed by Steve McQueen, and has led to other exciting projects with the series DP.

Over the years Charlie has worked across most genres of TV and Film, beginning his career at the Natural History Unit in Bristol.  He has also worked extensively in live TV and Outside Broadcast on productions such as the last two Royal Weddings, and has been working on stage at Glastonbury Festival since 2009 for the BBC. Live events provided excellent experience at working under pressure and time constraints....and rain.
